'I’ve been chosen!' Person hears tiny kitten screaming for help, finds her shivering and alone outside, the kitten sees them and immediately chooses them as her home

This kitten was clearly crying out for help, and finally, someone listened to her.

As independent as cats like to believe that they are, there is a reason why they ask for help sometimes. Humans, to stray cats, are not exactly the easiest place to go ask for help. We're large, we're different, we're scary. And kitties really do generally prefer to handle their problems on their own. So, you know that when a cat calls out for help, they are doing it for a reason. They are doing it because they have run out of options, beacuse any help - even help from the scary humans - is better than having to be on their own.

This kitten had been screaming for help. Not just asking, no, she had been screaming so loudly, she was heard all across a large parking lot. We're sure that other people heard her, but no one stopped. The kitten had been begging, because she knew that, in her situation, she would not survive on her own for long. It took one person to finally show her kindness, to finally listen to her calls, for her to know that she had found her home. One person is enough when it's the right person.

She knew, the second that she spotted you, that you are going to be her human, and we think that is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Finally, someone answered her call. Finally, someone cared enough to come and check on her, to see if she is okay, to offer the help that she has clearly been asking for. She knew you were the right one because you showed her kindness. Cats know, and they repay you tenfold throughout their lives with every bit of joy and calmness that they bring into your homes.

That is exactly what we are talking about. This kitty was clearly in need of help, and she was using the little energy that she had left to call out and hope that someone came by to help her. God knows what would have happened to her that night, with as tired and vulnerable as she was, had you not showed up there to help her. No one knows, and we are extremely happy that we don't have to find out. Thank you for helping her. You may very well have saved her life that night, and since she can't say thank you, we will.
